14:00 - 15:00
The tour will wend its way through Caledonian Park, taking in some dramatic interventions on the way and ending up with a performance in the park’s hidden forest-glade amphitheatre.
The performance is the culmination of a detailed intergenerational project. Stories about lives in the Caribbean, journeys to the UK, experiences once here, have been gathered and turned into podcasts by local young people, drama monologues created in response to the stories by actors and artwork created by local artists inspired by plants of the world used to create a large painted mural as backdrop to the action in the amphitheatre.
Partners in the project include Age UK Islington, Art in the Park, LB Islington, People’s Company and Prospex youth centre and it was funded by the UK government (Dept of Levelling Up, Communities and Housing).
In the event of heavy rain the event will take place in Cally Clock Tower centre.
