Join us for an ‘extra-healthy’ Health and History walk this January.  If one of your New Year’s resolutions is to walk a bit more then this might be the walk for you.

Whilst we know that time spent in nature in the park can boost your health, walking itself is also great for you physically and mentally.  As we walk around the park we will explore its fascinating history as well as nature in winter.  For those of you who want to walk a bit further – and perhaps a bit more briskly – we will then do a circuit of the Metropolitan Meat Market’s market square – walking down roads that the drovers took, visiting the site of the cattle lairs, the market pubs as well as the housing built on the site where the sheep rested before market day. 400 years of history, 4,000 steps – all in about 2 hours!  For those of you who want to walk less, the tour in the park will take about 1 hour.

The tour starts and ends at the clock tower
